Multi-Lingual & Regional Support

Operating globally requires more than translation. Privacy regulations, consent requirements, and user expectations vary significantly by region. Dxtra's multi-lingual and regional support helps you maintain compliance across jurisdictions while delivering localized privacy experiences.

Dxtra supports 11 languages for dashboard localization and document generation, enabling consent in the language users prefer and enforcing regional privacy requirements. Your consent interfaces, privacy notices, and compliance configurations adapt to each jurisdiction.

How multi-language translation works

Dxtra's AI engine generates legally accurate translations using expert-curated legal terminology glossaries. Rather than relying on machine translation alone, translations are built on domain-specific legal dictionaries to ensure that privacy terms are consistent with regional regulations and local legal practice.

When you translate your privacy notices, consent templates, or disclosure documents, Dxtra:

  1. Analyzes your English source content and identifies key privacy-related terms
  2. Maps those terms to curated glossaries for the target language and jurisdiction
  3. Generates translations that maintain legal precision across languages
  4. Lets you preview and approve translations before publishing

Note

Translations are generated for 140+ countries across 500+ privacy obligations. Custom glossaries can be configured for industry-specific or brand-specific terminology.

Supported languages

Dxtra supports 11 languages for dashboard localization and AI-generated document translation. The available languages are configured in SettingsOrganizationLanguage.

Language Code
Deutsch (German) de
English (UK) en-GB
Español (Spanish) es
Français (French) fr
日本語 (Japanese) ja
한국어 (Korean) ko
Português (Portuguese) pt
Português Europeu (European Portuguese) pt-PT
简体中文 (Chinese Simplified) zh-CN
繁體中文 (Chinese Traditional) zh-TW

In addition, Auto-detect is available as a setting that automatically selects the language based on the visitor's browser preferences or geolocation.

Note

The language setting controls dashboard localization, date/time/number formatting, and AI-generated document translation. The base platform language is English.

Enabling multi-language support

Select your primary and secondary languages in your workspace settings. Once enabled, you can:

  • Translate your privacy notices and consent templates
  • Configure language auto-detection based on visitor location or browser settings
  • Allow users to manually override their language preference
  • Create region-specific variations of your privacy content

Tip

Test your translations in each enabled language before publishing to your live environment.

Custom themes and branding

Your Transparency Center and embedded consent interfaces can be branded to match your company's visual identity. Configure:

  • Color schemes: Primary and secondary colors, button styles, background colors
  • Logo and imagery: Company logos, header images, favicon
  • Layout: Consent modal position, width, and animation style
  • Typography: Font families and sizing for headings and body text
  • Dark mode: Automatic dark theme based on user system preferences or time of day

Custom themes apply consistently across all enabled languages, ensuring a unified brand experience regardless of the user's language preference.

Transparency Center with multi-language

Your Transparency Center automatically detects the visitor's language preference through:

  • Browser language settings (Accept-Language header)
  • Visitor's detected geolocation
  • Manual language selector in the interface

Visitors see privacy documentation and consent flows in their preferred language. All translations remain synchronized—when you update your English privacy notices, Dxtra tracks those changes and flags translations that may need updates.

Testing and preview

Before publishing multi-language content:

  1. Generate translations for each enabled language
  2. Review translations side-by-side with source content to verify accuracy and tone
  3. Test the Transparency Center in each language using your preview link
  4. Verify that regional compliance rules trigger correctly for different locations
  5. Check that custom branding renders properly across all themes

Use our preview mode to test your configuration without affecting your live deployment.

Warning

Always test consent flows in each enabled language to ensure legal requirements are properly translated and regional rules apply correctly.
